Since its founding in 1992, Lunchbox Theatrical Productions has established an unrivalled reputation for producing top quality international entertainment in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, The Philippines, Europe, South Africa, Canada and the United Kingdom, and is now widely regarded as one of the leading producers of live entertainment in Australasia. Originally formed in Hong Kong by James Cundall and a group of like-minded businessmen, Lunchbox Theatrical Productions soon made a name for itself by presenting quality international productions such as Les Miserables, South Pacific, Barnum, The New Rocky Horror Show, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, as well as the acclaimed Alegria from Cirque du Soleil. From 1998 the company expanded its reach to Singapore, bringing David Helfgott in recital and the boutique show Stomp to a new audience. In 1999, James temporarily put Lunchbox Theatrical Productions on the shelf while he moved to Sydney, where he was responsible for a vast array of theatrical productions including major musicals, concert tours, solo artists, plays and spectacular shows in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. In 2004 James Cundall returned to the UK to re-establish Lunchbox Theatrical Productions, which now has companies in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore and The Philippines.
