I’m Charmaine Mak. I was born in Australia and lived there until I moved to Hong Kong when I was 9. English is my mother tongue and I do speak fluent Putonghua as I used to study in Kiangsu-Chekiang College and had a lot of mainland Chinese students. I am currently studying Bachelor of Arts in the University of Hong Kong and I’m majoring in History. Besides that, I took the DSE exam in 2019 and achieved a score of 5* in English and had an overall score of 23 as Best Five. I also took the GCSE exam for Chinese Language and received an A since I was exempted from taking the DSE Chinese exam. I have helped tutor students for two years and tried to cultivate their interests and confidence in the English language to be able to speak and write more.
