Yoyo Chu

A University of Melbourne graduate with a double-major in Genetics and Psychology, I earned my Master of Genetic Counselling in 2012. Since then I have guided first-year biology undergraduates at Melbourne Uni and designed hands-on Genetics workshops that spark curiosity in high-school students. I also tutor primary and secondary learners in general science and English, turning complex concepts into clear, confidence-building lessons. Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, I bridge language gaps for families and deliver seamless bilingual instruction. When I’m not teaching, I work as a professional translator, travel writer and video editor—skills that keep my lessons fresh, culturally rich and visually engaging.
