Introduction

There are many complex social issues in Hong Kong and lots of passionate and talented people that want to make an impact.

Good Lab started in 2012 with the aims of creating a home for the social innovation pioneers in Hong Kong. Dialogue Experience, Education For Good, Make A Difference Institute, Hong Kong Social Entrepreneurship Forum, Social Enterprise Summit, Solutions On Wheels and Social Ventures Hong Kong were the original founders of the space.

Many well known social purpose companies got their start at Good Lab, including LightBe, CoDeco, and ohmykids.

Good Lab provides bespoke consultancy and training services for companies that are looking for human-centric solutions to their organizational challenges. Using Design Thinking as our main approach, we work with established organizations such as HSBC, MTR, Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), Yan Oi Tong, Open University and the Drainage Services Department (DSD) to create effective and successful engagements with their stakeholders. We stand in the intersection between government, business and civil society as a neutral partner in creating innovative partnerships for future generations.

All of Good Lab’s program leverage on the expertise of our vast network of international and local stakeholders. We bring our network together to address challenges like Ageing, Youth Empowerment, Diversity and Inclusion, Trisector Leadership and Social Innovation. We create a much needed space in Hong Kong where unlikely allies can come together for dialogue, understanding and co-creation.

Today, Good Lab is more than just a space. From our years of experience, we are a global community of innovators that seek to find sustainable and win-win solutions to the wicked challenges in our society. Looking towards the future, Good Lab doesn’t stay still. We constantly evolve to the needs of society.
