Back to Hong Kong in the 1950s. At a grand party, Ka-wai, the second daughter of the middle class the Pak family, meets the handsome Mr Tat-chi. The enchanting party setting is conducive to romantic love and they seem a perfect match…When Cupid fires his arrow, will they be blinded by prejudice and manage to escape or struck to fall in love?

As a special programme for Chung Ying’s 40th anniversary celebration, the play is an adaptation of the classic English romantic novel Pride and Prejudice by the famous translator and playwright, Rupert Chan. He exquisitely combines Chinese and Western elements in his play, demonstrating Hong Kong as a place where East meets West.
