"Rashomon (Re-run)" by Chung Ying Theatre

In time of turbulence, truth and lies are intertwined.

Every incident happens to have some truth. Be it right or wrong, behind there is a Rashomon. Naked truth is frightening, not because of the truth itself but people’s hearts behind.

Tony Wong as the director, unfolded the classic with human silhouette and physical movements. The physical stage setting was replaced by massive slight movements constructing different scenes to depict the tension and complicated mental state of the characters.

The presentation provided refreshing experience to the audience and was warmly received. Rashomon also got ten nominations for the 28th Hong Kong Drama Awards this year. It is definitely a play you should never miss.
